Die Einladungen sind fast alle fertig…

…jetzt kann die Geburtstagsparty bald kommen. Schon wieder wird es Mai und das bedeutet, mein großer kleiner Mann wird bald 6! Natürlich mußte Mama wieder ran und eine Geburtstagseinladung ganz nach seinen Anweisungen werkeln. Er bestimmte die Farben, die Stempelsets und hatte eine ziemlich genaue Idee, wie das ganze so aussehen sollte.  Natürlich habe ich mir große Mühe gegeben, den hohen Ansprüchen zu entsprechen:

Almost all invitations are ready and sent so the party can begin! It’s May soon which means that it’s my big little boys 6th birthday soon! And of course mom had to make the invitations but he had a pretty clear idea what they would have to look like. So he picked the colors and stamp sets and I tried my best to meet his expectiations:

Die Farben sind Petrol, Limone und Flüsterweiß und die Stempelsets “Lass uns feiern” und “Dino-Party”. Ich habe außerdem den Präge-Folder “Streifen” benutzt und den Aquapainter zum colorieren des Dinos. Die Kordel ist aus dem kommenden Sommer-Mini und ich habe sie in Petrol und Limone benutzt.

I used “Island Indigo”, “Lucky Limeade” and “Whisper White” cardstock and the stampsets “Party This Way” and “Dino Roar”. For embossing I used the embossing folder “Stripes” and the aquapainter for coloring the dinosaur. The bakerstwine is from the upcoming Summer-Mini-Catalog and I used it in “Island Indigo” and “Lucky Limeade”.

Mein Sohn war zum Glück total begeistert. “Mama – viel besser als ich es mir vorgestellt habe!” – Na wenn das nicht runter geht wie Öl!

My son was totally happy with the result: “Mom – it’s much better than I imagined!” – Well if that isn’t a compliment!

Ich bin ja auch wirklich ‘ne dumme Nuss!

Da habe ich nun mal wieder eine Vorlage von einer Mojo-Monday Challenge für eine Karte genutzt (die Karte, die ich Euch in meinem letzten Post schon angekündigt habe), aber weil ich warten wollte, bis die Empfängerin diese auch schon erhalten hat, habe ich völlig vergessen, die Karte auf der Mojo-Monday Seite einzureichen – Gemacht habe ich sie am letzten Donnerstag, und naja – mittlerweile ist der nächste Montag schon vorbei und eine neue Challenge wurde begonnen. Ich Dummerchen

Finally I used another Mojo-Monday sketch for a birthday card and I wanted to participate in the challenge (that’s the card I already announced in my last post). BUT since I didn’t want to post it before the recipient receives it, I waited and totally forgot about it … oops. The card was made last thursday and since then another Monday happened and with that another challenge. I can be such a fool sometimes

Aber das macht ja alles nichts – schön ist sie trotzdem geworden, finde ich – und deshalb sollt ihr sie jetzt wenigstens zu Gesicht bekommen

But nevermind – it still turned out beautiful, as I think – and that’s why you should at least get to see it

Und da das gute Stück verschickt wurde, mußte natürlich auch der Umschlag noch etwas aufgehübscht werden:

Alles Stempel sind aus dem Set “Kreative Elemente”, nur der “Gruß” ist aus dem Set “Party This Way”.

Als Farben dienten dieses Mal “Veilchen” und “Blauregen” und das Hintergrundpapier sowie der Umschlag sind in Vanille Pur. Außerdem kamen mal wieder die Mini Perlen aus dem Basic Perlenschmuck zum Einsatz und mit dem Aquapainter habe ich die Ranke coloriert.

All stamps are from the set “Creative Elements” except the sentiment - it is from the set “Party This Way”.

I used “Concord Crudh” and “Whisteria Wonder” as in colors and paper and in addition VeryVanilla cardstock and envelope. I also used the tiniest pearls from the basic pearls and with the Aqua Painter I colored the background a bit.

Und weil’s so schön war, hier noch einmnal eine Nahaufnahme von der Blume, die ich dreimal auf Vanille Pur Farbkarton gestempelt und in 3D-Manier zurechtgeschnippelt habe.

And since I can’t get enough of it, here a little close up of the flower. I stamped it three times on Very Vanilla cardstock and cut it so it turned into a 3D- kind of flower

Das nächste Mal bin ich dann aber schneller, wenn ich an so einer Challenge teilnehme!

Next time I will hopefully be a little faster when taking part in a challenge!

It’s just another Mojo Monday….

Naja, eigentlich ist es ja schon Mojo Mittwoch Ich habe mich gestern und heut mal wieder an einen Mojo Monday Sketch gewagt, den ich dieses Mal wirklich nicht ganz einfach fand. Ich bin mir selbst nicht ganz sicher, ob mir gefällt, was ich letzten Endes kreiert habe, aber seht selbst:

 Well actually it is Mojo Wednesday Yesterday night and also tonight I’ve been working yet again on another Mojo Monday Sketch. This weeks sketch I found to be somewhat tricky and I’m not quite sure whether I like what I’ve come up with but decide for yourself:

Ich habe das Stempelset “Party This Way” und “Confetti” genutzt und mit den Farben “Glutrot”, “Farngrün”, “Zartblau” und “Pazifikblau” gearbeitet.

 I used the stamp sets “Party This Way” and “Confetti” and worked with the following colors: “Real Red”, “Pear Pizzaz”, “Bashful Blue” and “Pacific Point”.

 Ich bin wirklich neugierig auf Eure Meinung und eventuelle Verbesserungsvorschläge. Ich habe zum Beispiel nach Fertigstellung der Karte gedacht, dass es noch besser gewesen wäre, den zartblauen Hintergrund durch die BigShot zu jagen und zum Beispiel mit dem quadratischen Gitter zu prägen. Was meint Ihr?

 I am really eager to find out how you like it and even hear some ideas how I could have done better. For example: After finishing the card I thought it might have been even better to run the bashful blue background through the bigshot to give it some texture… what do you think?
